Challenges & Key Issues
Parcel barcode scanning and sorting were previously handled manually, requiring operators to identify each package and determine its expedition category before routing. This process consumed significant time and manpower while increasing the risk of parcels being sent to the wrong expedition. Scanning and sorting data were also not yet integrated automatically, limiting real-time visibility of the overall process.

Implemented Solution
Ravelware implemented an Automated Parcel Sorting System that integrates barcode scanning, conveyor automation, PLC-based control, and automatic pusher mechanisms. Each parcel is identified in real time at the conveyor input, after which the system determines the correct expedition destination. The PLC then controls the conveyor and pusher system to automatically direct the parcel into the appropriate gate without manual sorting.
